Latitude 8 Lodge is Located on Playa Zancudo, Costa Rica. The nearest well known city in the area is Golfito, but do not associate what you may know, hear or read about Golfito with the laid back, atmosphere that makes Playa Zancudo a popular destination for those wanting to escape the crowds that congregate in the northern regions of Costa Rica.

Our very small and private lodge is located on approximately two acres of “nature landscaped property, fronting the only road on the peninsula on the east and the Pacific Ocean on the west. There is one neighboring property (she also loves her privacy) to the south, one house 900 or so feet to the north and one house on the opposite side of the road, which are mostly vacant most of the year. We also strive for privacy by restricting the use of the property to our friends and guests and there is no public bar or restaurant to interrupt your tranquility.

Each cabins is approximately 460 square feet in size, and is furnished with a comfortable bed or beds, a small refrigerator, we do share in the choices, large showers with plenty of hot water with no suicide shower heads, a front porch facing the ocean, and alarm systems for that added comfort level while you are away from your vacation home.

Full cooking and dining facilities are available for your use in our newly constructed “Rancho” and fresh produce is delivered twice a week for your dining selection. Meat, poultry and fish and other seafood is available locally and it is usually fresh. If you decide not to cook you can either join us family style for a few dollars a meal or take in the local fare at 3 or 4 good restaurants in the immediate area.

Hammocks, beach chairs, and boogie boards are available for your use and a variety of surfboards are available for rent.
